Bon Secours Mercy Health, one of the 20 largest health systems in the nation and fifth largest Catholic health system in the U.S., has acquired through an asset purchase agreement, affiliates of Community Health Systems, Inc., transitioning ownership of Southside Regional Medical Center of Petersburg, Southampton Memorial Hospital of Franklin and Southern Virginia Regional Medical Center of Emporia to Bon Secours Mercy Health.
